DIN Flanged Gate Valve Long Type Ductile Iron
The DIN flanged long-pattern ductile iron gate valve combines a DIN 3202 F5 installation length with a non-rising stem and an open/close indicator, allowing operators to check valve position without additional stem extension above the handwheel. Designed to DIN 3352 T2 with raised-face flanges to DIN 2501, it covers DN40–DN1000, with PN16 specified for DN40–DN150 and PN10 for DN200–DN1000. GGG40 or GGG40.3 body and bonnet construction provides mechanical strength, while bronze seats, a stainless steel stem, PTFE gland packing and an asbestos-free bonnet gasket form the principal material arrangement. The bolted bonnet permits access to internal components during servicing, and the gate withdraws from the main flow passage when fully open to limit pressure loss. Suitable duties include cold- and hot-water distribution, freshwater circuits, selected seawater systems and lubricating-oil lines in marine and industrial installations, subject to material compatibility and operating limits.
Its long-pattern dimensions are particularly relevant when replacing existing F5 valves or matching established piping layouts. A soft-seated version is listed as an option. Intended for isolation, the valve should normally operate fully open or fully closed rather than provide continuous throttling.
