DIN Flanged Gate Valve Cast Steel With Stellite Coated Steel Wedge
Built for water, steam and oil isolation, the DIN flanged cast steel gate valve combines a WCB body and bonnet with Stellite-hardfaced wedge and seat sealing surfaces. This hardfacing helps resist wear and galling at the closing interface, supporting sealing performance under suitable service conditions. Available in DN40–DN500 with a PN16 designation, the valve is specified to EN 1984, with face-to-face dimensions referenced to EN 558-1 and raised-face flanges to EN 1092-1. Its rising stem provides a visible indication of gate travel, while the bolted bonnet allows access to internal components during servicing. A stainless steel stem, graphite packing and bonnet gasket, Stellite-deposited backseat and aluminium-bronze stem nut complete the listed construction.
Potential applications include steam distribution, power-plant auxiliary systems, industrial water networks, oil-handling lines and process utilities where the materials and pressure–temperature limits match the duty.
The long-pattern body suits installations requiring the corresponding pipe gap, and the gate withdraws from the main flow passage when fully open to reduce obstruction. Intended for on/off service, the valve should operate fully open or fully closed; prolonged throttling can cause vibration, erosion and seating damage.
