DIN Knife-Gate Valve Stainless Steel
The DIN Knife-Gate Valve Stainless Steel offers a compact shut-off solution for water handling installations where limited pipeline space and suspended matter influence valve selection. Its wafer configuration fits between compatible pipe flanges, keeping the installation length short while allowing the stainless steel blade to travel across the flow passage. A CF8M stainless steel body provides corrosion resistance in compatible environments, complemented by a stainless steel spindle, bronze stem nut and PTFE packing. The product features NBR soft seating and is listed in sizes from DN50 to DN600 with a 10 bar pressure designation. When fully raised, the blade leaves the main passage largely unobstructed, helping limit pressure loss and accommodate fluids containing fibres or soft suspended solids.
Potential applications include water treatment plants, wastewater facilities, industrial effluent systems and selected pulp and paper process lines, subject to confirmation of fluid compatibility and solids characteristics. Handwheel operation provides local control, while sufficient overhead clearance allows for blade travel and servicing. Intended principally for isolation, the valve should normally operate fully open or fully closed, since prolonged partial opening can accelerate blade and seat wear.
