Flanged Expansion Joint
The Flanged Expansion Joint, also known as a Flanged Rubber Expansion Joint or Flexible Rubber Bellows Connector, is designed to accommodate thermal expansion, contraction, vibration and limited piping misalignment in marine and industrial pipeline systems.Unlike rigid pipe connections, this expansion joint features a flexible elastomeric bellows securely connected to metal flanges through a vulcanized construction. The rubber element allows controlled axial compression, extension and lateral movement, helping reduce the transmission of vibration and mechanical stress between connected piping components.
The expansion joint is particularly useful in piping systems connected to pumps, cooling equipment and other machinery where vibration, temperature changes or minor relative movement may occur during operation.
Available in sizes from DN32 to DN300, the product features a compact 130 mm face-to-face length across the listed size range. Pressure ratings include PN16 for DN32–DN150 and PN10 for DN200–DN300, subject to the applicable operating conditions. Different elastomer materials, including EPDM, NBR and other specified rubber compounds, can be selected to accommodate different fluids and operating environments.
Combining flexible movement compensation, compact installation dimensions and multiple material options, this flanged expansion joint provides a practical solution for protecting connected piping equipment and improving system reliability.
